On March 2021, as per the invitation of The General Consulate of Mexico in Shanghai, Asociaciones Agroindustriales Serranas took part in a coffee tasting event within the framework of the HOTELEX Tradeshow in Shanghai, China.
HOTELEX aims to promote the development of the hotel catering industry of China, Serranas participation in HOTELEX allows us to expand our business opportunities and also to promote the quality of Mexican coffee in international events of great reach. It is worth mentioning that coffee consumption in China has grown about 500% in the last fifteen years and Hotelex is the largest and most important trade exhibition in China, in which coffee has great exposure to potential customers.
On the other hand, on May 2021 Serranas took part in a Mexican Coffee cupping event organized by the General Consulate of Mexico in Shanghai in cooperation with the “Nanjing Ecofarm Co., Ltd” company, attended by representatives of retail stores, coffee shops, restaurants, coffee importers and prominent members of the Mexican business community living in China.
More than 20 kinds of Mexican green coffee were presented at the cupping event, sent by companies or coops from the states of Chiapas, Veracruz, Puebla and San Luis Potosí.
Serranas participated with three select varieties of green coffee beans of great quality and flavor with the aim of promoting Mexican coffee in a country with a growing demand for the best quality.
